Living Threads 2004 Workshop

Andres and Marguerite San Millan of COCOON THEATRE offer LIVING THREADS WORKSHOP at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. This program is free of charge for participants (age 10 & up) and is open to anyone who currently has cancer, has had cancer in the past, or has known someone with cancer.

Meeting alternating Saturdays from 2-5 p.m., January 17 through May 15. Performs as a fundraiser for the Breast Navigator Program at Benedictine Hospital on Sunday, May 23 and also performs at Cocoon Theatre in Rhinebeck on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 3, 4 & 5 at 7:00 pm. and Sunday, June 6 at 3:00 pm. Tickets: $10.

LIVING THREADS is a creative performing & visual arts workshop where participants hold interviews dealing with life-turning events in the lives of others and then create an expressive arts piece based on the interviews collected. This could take any medium of expression (a poem, a painting, a dramatic scene, a dance, etc.) These expressions will be woven into a whole and presented as a body of work to the public.

* The Breast Navigator Program at Benedictine Hospital is a counseling , networking organization offering support for those with cancer and their family members.
