The Fever

“THE FEVER” By Wallace Shawn
Produced by special arrangement with Dramatist Play Service, Inc.

“The Fever” opened off-Broadway in January, 1990 and was first performed by Wallace Shawn himself (My Dinner With André, The Princess Bride).

“… a blistering monologue that asks in a highly original way: is it possible, or even right, for a sensitive person to be happy in today’s world?” ---The New York Times

Cocoon received our own glowing review for our production last year: “The paradox of beauty in a dark time … fine writing, excellent direction and terrific acting.” ---The Woodstock Times

Cocoon is now proud to announce private bookings of “The Fever.” The 90-min. play runs without intermission, features a one-person cast, and can be performed in small & large settings. In our production, designed by A. San Millán & directed by Ellen Honig, the role of The Traveler is played by Ms. San Millán.
