Join us for performance poems, a one-act play, a short film or two, an occasional monologue, and more with our special guests Steve Clorfeine and Lanny Harrison:
Lanny Harrison - dancer, actress, poet - began her career in The New York Pantomime Theater in 1966. Since 1969, she's been a member of Meredith Monk's The House, performing lead roles. She's created many one-woman shows, the latest is Memoir. She & Steve Clorfeine's Sense & Nonsense has toured Europe & the States since 1987. She is a founding arts faculty of the Naropa University. Ms Harrison teaches in the Gallatin School of NYU and has an ongoing theater workshop both at Shambhala Meditation Center of NY & at West Kortright Centre in upstate NY.
Steve Clorfeine has been performing since 1974 - with Barbara Dilley, Meredith Monk, Ping Chong, the Illusion Theater of Minneapolis. He's been an artist in the schools for 30 years, teaching writing and theater and has published 4 collections of poetry. Steve has been awarded Cultural Envoy grants from the U.S. Embassy to create performances in Calcutta and in Kathmandu and for many years has presented workshops throughout India and in Nepal. Steve is a meditation teacher and a founding arts faculty of the Naropa University.
